A message from one of IVAWs biggest supporters and top 40 artist Michael Franti.

Hey IVAW members & supporters this is a message from one of our biggest supporters and top 40 artist Michael Franti.

“In 2004 I flew to Iraq and played music on the streets of Baghdad for both Iraqi civilians and U.S. Soldiers. I saw the unique and stressful situation soldiers are in each day, trying to connect with a civilian population while  living each moment under threat of attack.
I met many soldiers who told me even with all of this stress, the thing they most worried about, was missing the people that they loved. Since that time I have played music at Walter Reed hospital for injured vets and have met many veterans and families of active duty soldiers at my shows.

This video is dedicated to people waiting for their loved ones to return and whether we are civilian or soldier of any nation, appreciating every precious second we have in this life.”  Michael Franti

Peace
