IVAW Advisor Responds to Bush Advisor: The Crude Truth About Iraq

The Washington Post today published an opinion article by IVAW Advisory Committee member Antonia Juhasz, in which she responds to former Bush Advisor Meghan O'Sullivan's 9/11 column arguing Iraq's oil "more than justif[ies] an ongoing U.S. military presence there."

In her attention grabbing op-ed, Juhasz, an oil expert at the Global Exchange and author of The Tyranny of Oil and Black Tide, retorts : "We should all thank O’Sullivan for her honesty... that the 'most compelling' reason for maintaining the U.S. occupation of Iraq is to secure that nation’s oil. ... While we Americans may love our oil, the public has never supported the idea that our soldiers should kill and die for it." Read the rest of her argument in today's Washington Post.
