AVAW Speaker Tour Comes to Urbana

Afghanistan Veteran Jacob George is traveling around the country sharing his incredible stories of transformation from soldier to activist seeking reconciliation with the Afghan people.

Jacob George served in the Army Special Forces and did three tours in Afghanistan. After leaving the Army, he briefly returned to school before selling all of his possessions and embarking on a year long bike tour through the Deep South with other veterans and supporters, speaking in schools, churches, and other community spaces about his transformation toward peace and reconciliation.
