Timothy Brinkman

I have several tours to Iraq ranging throughout the duration of the war.(Army) I started as a joe, worked my way to the nco ranks, and am now serving as a junior officer (1LT). For several years I've had reservations about the motivations of our government to go to war in the first place. Yet, I've soldiered on trying to bring my men back because that "duty" tug just kills me every time...I had a daughter last month. Her birth has changed my perception completely and now I'm having serious moral reservations about serving within a military that is complicit in enriching private contractors, private business, and further destabilazation of the region at the expense of not only our lives, but the very lives we were sent there to "protect"...I'm getting this sinking feeling that we weren't the good guys on this one and I'm pissed. I'm really, really pissed!
