IVAW at the DNC 2008

published by IVAW Admin on 05/25/10 2:00pm
The DNC of 2009 was an event I will never forget. The small triumphs that were achieved through peaceful protest, brought many to tears and I can proudly say I was one of them. I have long been interested in politics, and social justice, and with the infinite platforms the internet has to offer I feel we are at a point where everyones voice can truly be heard. My effort as a photographer is to bring those stories that need to be told, to those that need to hear them. With exploration and empathy as my driving qualities, I am always looking for new projects and new subjects to photograph. thepaulwinner.com0014_thepaulwinner.com_.jpg

Veteran of War: A Poem

It is very difficult for me to form words that can accurately express how I feel. Poetry has been one of the most effective ways for me to communicate my feelings, but it can only express symbolically how I feel. Being a...

Cry Justice for Jennifer

By Ramon Mejia As a former US Marine, I am disgusted to learn about the killing of Filipina transgender woman Jennifer Laude in Olongapo City, with USMC Private Joseph Scott Pemberton as the prime suspect. I am saddened...

Remembering Jacob George

We lost an important member of our community with Jacob George's passing last week. His contribution to both our movement and to the many people that he shared his experiences, music and unbridled spirit with is impossible...
