IVAW board member Robynn Murray is the subject of this independent documentary about her struggle transitioning from machine gunner in Iraq to veteran with PTSD.
Directed by Sara Nesson, the film premiered in the U.S. at the Telluride Film Festival and is scheduled to premiere internationally at IDFA in Amsterdam this weekend.
Poster Girl "is an emotionally raw documentary that follows Robynn over the course of two years as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and redemption, using art and poetry to redefine her life." The film is one of eight documentaries on the OSCAR’S 2010 shortlist.
