Iraq Labor Tour: Unplugged

iraqilabor_2.jpg

Live Jazz - original, rebellious, and emblematic of American culture is the perfect backdrop for an evening coinciding with the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Roshashannah, building community between veterans of the war in Iraq, Iraqi labor leaders, US Labor, Middle Eastern and Muslim communities, NYU Law School and student organizations.

Background: Iraqi labor leaders are touring the United States to raise awareness about the condition of workers in Iraq. They've been speaking loud and clear this week with lawmakers, labor unions, veterans and nonprofits about supporting their movement. This evening is an opportunity to hear them speak, but also get to know then more intimately outside the confines of a panel. Additionally, by raising funds for US Labor Against the War's Iraq Solidarity Fund, we will be able to further support their organizing efforts.

An unforgettable evening filled with insight, activism, art, live jazz and food - join us for the Iraqi Labor Tour: Unplugged
