VETERANS DAY TO ME

As I enter my 4th Veterans day after 20 years in the Marine Corps, I still suffer with internal pain. I tried to give the VA hospital a chance, but really I must say, I did not trust them when I went in. Veterans day is yet again another painful period we vets have to deal with. We in IVAW have conductd interviews, marchess in protest, walked the halls of congress, sent letters and emails, been to school etc, but the war keeps going. There are to many homless veterans and it seems there will be more. So here we are, another veterans day. Lets see, will there be more yellow ribbions? more families torn apart, more substance abuse to hid the pain, more seprations of families, more young people sent to occupy George W. Bush quest? How can anyone say to me thank you for your service to me? What are you thanking me for? Do you know? I know what I have done and seen in combat, I know what it has done to me, is that what you are thanking me/us for. We did our job America! it is your job to listen to us and support us YESTRDAY! So dont pretend on Veterans day, you support us EVERDAY. WE DID!!!!!!!!!!!!
