As this war continues to take the lives of over 700,000 people and peace workers worldwide call for the end of the war, I look to the past to find the ansewers. Because this isn't the first time politicans have lied to send a nation to war. This isn't the first time people have worked for peace. So we have no excuse to find answers that work. A revolution of ethics that is not followed but lived in every aspect of one's life. If we are to stop any war we must first stop the war within ourselves. As Yeshua said, "Before you take the splinter out of your brothers eye, take a look at the log in your own eye, then you can take the splinter out of your brothers eye".
Following that with the Golden Rule, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and you are on the path to the true revolution. A true change from the war, poverty and racism that plagues our world.
From my time in Iraq I can personally attest to what can happen when a group of highly motivated people work together. We started a violent revolution and overthrew a government. Now we must start a peaceful revolution and change our government. And this can be done from your hometown. All you have to see is the contributions of your hometown to the war. Militirism can be found in our schools with the recuiters and JROTC/ROTC programs. It can be found at the plethora of military installations around the country. It can be found in the very taxes you pay. We can cut the cancer of war out of our towns. First by strengthing our counter-recuitment programs, second by promoting the GI RIGHTS HOTLINE on or around military bases, and thirdly promoting the Religious Freedom Peace Tax Fund Act, H.R.2631 thus redirecting your tax money away from the pentagon. Out of the 190 countries that make up this world the U.S. has military bases in 144 of them. We can afford to cut back so don't let anyone scare you into needing a strong military. Fear is the biggest enemy because it holds us in slavery. Fear of loss allows for people to control you. We cannot fully be free unless we rid ourselves of fear. Make love the root emotion behind everything you do.

We have to realize that when this war in Iraq ends the problem won't be solved unless we pull the roots of violence out of our hometowns giving an example to the whole world. I don't want future generations to live with the amount of bullshit we have to live with now. My 2 year old nephew Memphis will grow up in a world we create now. Revolution Now.
