Jeff Englehart served as a 19 Delta-Cavalry Scout for the United States Army from 2001 to 2005. During his time in the army, Jeff was deployed to Kosovo for Task Force Falcon in 2003, and then served in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom II from February 2004 to February 2005. While in Iraq, Jeff Englehart developed a very strong personal conviction to speak out against the war after seeing firsthand the oppression, pain, death and destruction caused by the United States' illegal occupation of Iraq. During his time there, Jeff helped to author the antiwar blog Fight To Survive and gained notoriety as the anonymous blogger “heckle”. Upon getting out of the army in 2005, Jeff Englehart decided to hit the ground running in antiwar activism and joined the ranks of Iraq Veterans Against War, a nationwide organization committed to an immediate withdrawal of US troops from Iraq. Jeff is now committed to ending this illegal and unjust war by speaking out against it, expressing his experiences from the unique perspective of a combat veteran. Posts by Jeff Englehart |
