Maggie Martin

I served in the Army from 2001-2006 I deployed to Kuwait before the war and twice to Iraq in 2003 and 2005. I joined IVAW because I'm angry about being lied to about WMD's and other reasons for invading. I'm angry about being taken away from my family for no good reason. I'm angry about sacrificing a lot for no good reason. I am most angry about all the lives; American, Iraqi, and Afghan that were sacrificed for no good reason. No more war for profit. No more dehumanization. No more explosive liberation.

IVAW members lead veterans and service members in standing up to oppose the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and we stand up for the rights of those who serve as well as people of occupied countries. With so much riding on the shoulders of our...
Take Action TODAY: Tell Fort Hood Commander to hold a Safety Stand Down
Posted to:
Field Organizers
Tell General Campbell to put soldier care first by holding a Safety Stand Down. This Memorial Day weekend marks one year since our Operation Recovery Campaign has been at Fort Hood, Texas. In that time, we've talked with hundreds of soldiers there about their problems accessing mental health care. We've learned that there are a number of factors...
