Los Angeles

One of the first chapters of Iraq Veterans Against the War, the Los Angeles chapter was founded by IVAW co-founder Tim Goodrich and other Los Angeles area veterans in 2005. At one time the Los Angeles chapter was the largest and most active chapter of IVAW leading campaigns like Operation First Casualty, Operation W.A.N.T. and Arlington West.

The close proximity to the entertainment industry has helped IVAW-LA reach broad and diverse audiences, forging partnerships with many musical groups like Rage Against the Machine, Ozomatli, Ben Harper and Rise Against as well as celebrities like Oliver Stone, Martin Sheen and Jane Fonda.

Notable members of the LA chapeter have included Jeff Key, Jason Lemieux and Eric Estenzo.

The chapter continues to reach out to new members who can offer fresh ideas and new tactics to help end the wars.
