Jorge Gonzalez

Jorge Gonzalez joined the U.S. Army in 2004, and stationed at Fort Lewis, WA. He was deployed to Iraq in June 2006 and returned home in September 2007. He finished his 5 year contract in 2009 and by mistake discovered Coffee Strong. He started volunteering as a barista and then started coordinating events there. He also has spoken out about his military experience and against the wars oversees at various college campuses and high schools and events. He was then asked to serve on the board of directors for Coffee Strong/G.I. Voice January 2011 to March 2011 after which he was hired on as Co-Executive Director along with Joseph Carter, which then in September, Jorge took the Executive Director position full time.
